A couple of pics from a recent switchboard job in Mt Nathan. How beautiful do the mountains look in the background! We are so lucky to live in this beautiful paradise we call home ⛰☺️

The owners of this property had demolished their home, but still had sheds that needed powering until their new home was built. The Ridgy Didge team came up with an innovative solution of mounting a new Meter Box on their private pole, and then using existing underground submains to install a state of the art temporary switchboard, which also powers their existing sheds.
To top it all off, we installed some new aerial consumer mains from the street to the private pole.

Tamborine Mountain is such a beautiful, scenic location existing in such perfect harmony with the nature around it that it can almost slip the mind how much work goes into keeping things running smoothly. But when pumps break and generators fail, Ridgy Didge Electrical is there to help. Rowan Simpson has only been a part of the mountain community for two years, but he’s already made it his mission to be the man locals can turn to when things go wrong. 👉 How long have you owned Ridgy Didge Electrical?
I’ve owned this business for two years. I’ve been an electrician for 8-9 years now, and I felt there was a niche in the market here. I wanted to take that next step and expand my horizons.

👉 Do you have a particular specialty?
I do all types of electrical work, but I do specialise in pumps and generators. I noticed a gap in the market when it came to a focus on those things but even then, it’s everything to do with those. New builds, maintenance, callouts, repairs… I do everything under the umbrella of electrical work. It’s mostly commercial work. My whole career I’ve worked for big supermarket chains and shopping centers. But I do all kinds of electrical work: domestic, commercial and industrial.

We attended site to replace a seized gate motor. The client wanted to be able to open the gate from his phone anywhere in the world. We installed a wifi compatability module as well as infrared sensors to prevent gate operation whilst obstructed.
