Firstly we would like to Thank All our Clients who have helped us grow our Small business we started in Townsville in 2012. It is because of you, that BESTNQ has the the best clients.

That said, we wish to advise that Cain will be heading to Prince Charles Hospital this week, where he will undergo numerous Heart related tests to determine if he can go onto a Heart Transplant List. Cain has had a Defibrillator to treat a Heart condition since 1997 but recently his Heart has started slowing down with other issues. We will therefore no longer be seeking new works and will do our best to finish off current work engagements.

Moving forward we will keep the BESTNQ licences etc but look at the selling the rest of the business plant. This was not an easy decision to make however we have decided based on the circumstances that it’s the best one for us.

Cain has spoken with some of his long term clients and will continue to do his best (with they’re assistance) to fulfil their works.

We again would like to Thank You and will keep you informed as to what the outcome of this weeks testing.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM QLD SAFETY OFFICE:

Smoke alarm requirements
Since January 2017, Queenslanders having a home built or substantially renovated have been required to have interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms installed.

From 1 January 2022, all homes being sold, leased or having their lease renewed must have hardwired photoelectric, interconnected smoke alarms installed in every bedroom, connecting hallways and on each storey.

From 1 January 2027, this requirement will apply to all homes.

As these deadlines draw near, there will be a greater demand for electrical contractors to install and upgrade ionisation smoke alarms to photoelectric smoke alarms.

Make sure you and your customers are aware of your obligations by visiting Queensland Fire and Emergency Services - smoke alarms.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) is working with industry to ensure Queenslanders are aware of their obligations and don’t leave upgrading to the last minute. If you have any questions specific to the legislation, you can contact QFES direct on [email protected]
