Have you ever seen a little slimy "bird poo" looking grub on your citrus tree? 🐛

When you have a garden, you have the opportunity to invite some of the most beautiful and sometimes rare creatures.

Pictured below is a Dainty swallowtail butterfly. Obviously the one on the left is the baby😆

I feel very privileged to have these visitors in my garden. They stay because they know they are safe here and there's plenty to munch on.

My native Finger lime is the perfect host tree for baby butterflies.

Did you know butterflies have specific host plants?
Without them, they just wouldn't exist.
(Host plant is the plant that the adult butterfly lays her eggs on. A plant that is safe for the caterpillars to eat)

Our gardens are more important than we know.

This is my mate Charlie! 🐍
He's a yellow faced whip snake.
He's been living in my garden for years. I rarely see him. Mostly because snakes are scared of us.
Although, I think he's starting to realise that I dont mean him any harm. In fact I love having him around. He takes care of the Asian geckos
