ForestWorks is excited to have been selected to deliver the $10 million Forestry Workforce Training Program, a key pillar of the Government’s “A Future Grown in Australia” plan. The program is a critical investment in skills and training solutions for Australia’s vital forest, wood, paper, and timber industry’s people, businesses, and communities and will address specific challenges and structural impediments to the sustainable delivery of the training and accreditation requirements of the industry. “Our industry is one that deeply values its people and their communities” said ForestWorks Chief Executive Office Mr Mike Radda. “The program is a once in a generation opportunity for our industry to address barriers which hinder access to the formal training sector. Training and recognition of skills results in good jobs and careers which are both vital ingredients to attracting and retaining workers in a competitive labour market”.
