I called Peter for a chat about his pool and he said something I wasn't expecting at all.
He'd had a pool before. And he nearly didn't get another one - because the last one was so far from the house it became a chore. The old out of sight, out of mind. You stop maintaining it, you stop using it, and eventually you wonder why you bothered. So when we designed Peter's pool, positioning was everything. We tucked it right up close to the house so it's part of his everyday, not something he has to trek to at the bottom of the yard for.
During the build, Peter was actually away for a chunk of it, which could have had the potential to add a bit more stress. But he said the communication made it easy. He always knew what was happening and where things were at, even from a distance.
The other thing he mentioned that I think is worth noting was his neighbours. They allowed us access through their property which meant we could get a bigger machine out the back, and that saved Peter real time and real money. That kind of generosity from neighbours doesn't go unnoticed and Peter was genuinely grateful for that.
I don't take these conversations for granted. When someone tells you they almost didn't do it and now they can't imagine their home without it - that's the whole reason we do what we do.
Thank you so much, Peter.
