For over 17 years, R Jay Electrical Services has proudly worked alongside Plantation Homes as their trusted electrical contractor.
In that time, we’ve contributed to more than 5,500 new homes—each one representing families, futures, and communities across Queensland.
Along the way, we’ve also been honoured to contribute our time and expertise to the Miracles for Life Home, built and auctioned to raise funds for an extraordinary cause that supports children and families when they need it most.
This project is a powerful reminder that what we do as trades goes well beyond switches, lights, and power points. It’s about coming together as an industry to make a real difference.
We’re incredibly proud of the long-standing partnership with Plantation Homes and grateful for the opportunity to give back through Miracles for Life.
When builders, trades, and communities align for a purpose greater than the job itself—that’s when the real impact happens.

🌀 Be prepared for Tropical Cyclone Alfred - Electrical Safety Advice🌀
Remember, you don’t have to make direct contact with a powerline for it to kill you. Whether you’re preparing your property for Tropical Cyclone Alfred or starting the clean up, it pays to respect the power.

Electricity can arc (or jump) from powerlines to you and your tools, leading to instant and potentially lethal consequences.

Protecting yourself around powerlines:
• Be careful cleaning up fallen branches and debris around your property as they could be hiding fallen or submerged powerlines - treat any fallen or damaged powerlines as live.

• Fallen and low hanging powerlines can be hard to see, especially during the night or early morning. Stay well away from them and warn others to do the same.

• Report any fallen lines to the emergency services or your electricity entity immediately.

• Keep 3m away from overhead powerlines to avoid accidental contact or arcing incidents.

• Carry ladders and other long tools horizontally, never vertically when cleaning up to avoid contact with overhead powerlines.

🎉 Celebrating 34 Years of R Jay Electrical Services! 🎉
On December 18th, 1990, R Jay Electrical was founded by Ron & Julie Della Piana, starting from humble beginnings in a garage. In August 2008, I had the privilege of becoming the second owner and today marks 16 years of my own journey with this incredible business.
Over the past 34 years, we’ve trained and produced some exceptional electricians who have gone on to achieve great success in their own right. We’ve also built lasting partnerships, particularly with Plantation Homes, which began in 2007. It’s been an absolute honor to contribute to the construction of countless homes, including many for the Mater Foundation—a cause that means so much.
We also celebrate 10 years with Brighton Homes
Here’s to the legacy, the relationships, and the incredible team that continues to drive R Jay Electrical forward. Thank you to everyone who has been part of our story so far—here’s to many more years of success! ⚡
