Granite Transformations Australia Granite Transformations specialising in granite benchtop resurfacing. "the top that fits the top"

Granite Transformations is the largest kitchen renovation company in the World specialising in kitchen makeovers, new kitchens, bathrooms and laundries.

It's hard to believe these photos are of the same kitchen.

As featured on Selling Houses Australia, this transformation shows the power of updating the surfaces you see and touch every day. The original kitchen had solid foundations, but the dark timber cabinetry and heavily patterned benchtops and splashbacks had become dated over time.

By painting the cabinetry and resurfacing the benchtops and splashback in Kaolinite from our Marble Range, the entire space was given a fresh new lease on life. The result feels brighter, more contemporary and far more connected to the rest of the home.

A great reminder that sometimes the biggest transformations come from reimagining what you already have, rather than starting from scratch.

"What happens to the sink and cooktop?"

It's one of the most common questions we receive when people first hear about stone overlay.

During installation, the sink and cooktop are temporarily removed. Once the new stone surface has been installed over the existing benchtop, precise openings are cut and everything is reinstalled.

Many homeowners choose to take the opportunity to upgrade their sink or cooktop at the same time (like this one), but if you're happy with what you have, it goes straight back in.

Not every marble-inspired kitchen starts with a truckload of natural stone.

Featuring Golden Hour from our Nature-Inspired Range, this kitchen achieves a premium marble look without the cost of an expensive natural marble slab, and without removing existing benchtops or tiled splashbacks.

A smarter way to create a high-end finish, while keeping the renovation process simple.

These before and afters are a great example of how much impact a benchtop can have on the overall feel of a kitchen.

When preparing this home for sale, the owners chose to keep a similar colour palette to the original kitchen, but upgraded from old laminate surfaces to 7mm stone overlay.

The result feels noticeably more premium and modern — helped by the polished shine of the stone and subtle pencil-round edge detail, which completely changes the finish of the space without changing the kitchen layout itself.

Some stones are quiet from a distance, then full of detail up close.

Solstice is one of them — warm golden taupe tones layered through a glowing neutral base, creating a surface that feels both grounded and light-filled at the same time.

The kind of stone where you notice a new detail each time the light changes.

Yes — you CAN add a waterfall end later

One of the questions we get asked all the time is whether a waterfall end can be added to an existing kitchen as part of a stone overlay benchtop resurfacing project.

The answer is yes — and this before and after shows just how much impact it can have.

There's a reason we chose BLUNT umbrellas for our May giveaway.

Like Granite Transformations, they're a brand focused on thoughtful design, quality materials, and products engineered to last.

From the rounded edges and premium hardware on a BLUNT umbrella, to the durable, low-maintenance surfaces we create in kitchens and bathrooms - both brands are built around the idea that good design should perform beautifully for years to come.

Built to endure. Designed for everyday life ☂️

Raised breakfast bars were once a popular way to create separation between the kitchen and living space — and for some homes, they still work beautifully.

But more and more people are choosing to open up their kitchens for a cleaner, more connected feel.

In this transformation, Granite Transformations Gold Coast removed the raised breakfast bar and resurfaced the existing benchtops, waterfall ends and splashback. A simple structural change that completely changed the feel of the space.

👀 ☂ ENTER OUR MAY COMPETITION: Each week we are giving away a premium BLUNT umbrella. Just submit an online enquiry + follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
