I’ll admit it – I’d much rather be preparing and delivering weddings than spending time online talking about myself. Creating memorable ceremonies and standing alongside couples on such a special day is where my energy naturally goes – it’s what I love. 💍💕

📣 PSA 📣

In August I’ll be trekking 75km over two days to raise funds for the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation’s (THF) Regional Cancer Centre. For every booking made between now and then, I’ll be donating $75 to the cause!

I’ve had the pleasure (?) of kicking cancer in the butt myself in recent years. It’s a slog. Chemo. Radiation. Surgeries, yes, multiple. Including a risk reducing mastectomy a couple of weeks ago. Research has increasingly shown the importance of exercise, not only of reducing the impact of treatment, but it can also significantly reduce the risk of many cancers returning. In fact, in some cases, it’s shown to be more effective than drugs.

Last year I approached THF with my vision for Trek the Trail, and over the last 9 months they have worked with me and my band of amazing merry foot soldiers to bring this vision to life. There will be 75 of us trekking 75km to raise $75k to provide exercise physiology services at the new Regional Cancer Centre. My hope is that safe exercise will become a standard part of treatment for all. Hopefully saving lives in the long term.

Can you help solve the mystery? 🤔

This framed image was recently dropped off at Gip’s by an anonymous donor, stating that it once belonged to Clifford House. And, well, we love learning about the history of our beautiful building we are wanting to learn more about the image.
