লিফ্টের তারগুলি প্রায় কখনই স্ন্যাপ হয় না এবং যদি একটি তারের স্ন্যাপ হয়, সেখানে ব্যাকআপ তারগুলি সংযুক্ত রয়েছে৷ এমনকি সমস্ত তারগুলি ভেঙে গেলেও, একটি লিফট এখনও নীচের তলায় পড়বে না। লিফটগুলির একটি প্যাসিভ, স্বয়ংক্রিয়, অন্তর্নির্মিত ব্রেকিং সিস্টেম রয়েছে।
