৮৪ বছর বয়সেও মৃত্যুর আগ পর্যন্ত পুলিশের কাঁধে ভর করে আদালতে নিয়মিত হাজিরা দিয়েছিলেন বিএনপি নেতা মরহুম এম, কে, আনোয়ার।
একদিন আদালতে বলেন; "মাননীয় বিচারক, আমিও ১৩ বছর বিচারক দায়িত্ব পালন করেছি, ৩০ বছর সরকারের সচিব সহ উচ্চ পদে চাকরি করেছি, ৫ বার এমপি ছিলাম, ২ বার মন্ত্রী ছিলাম, ৮৪ বছর বয়সে আমি ঢাকায় বসে কুমিল্লায় বোমা হামলার ইন্ধন দিব, এটা কি আপনার মনে হয়?
যারা ১৬/১৭ বছর নির্যাতন করে এখনি অধৈর্য হয়ে মানবতা খুজেন তারা আরও ধৈর্য্যশীল হোন। মাত্র মাত্র ৯ মাসে এমন করলে হবে!!?
