As Hampton Steel reaches the end of another operational year, there’s no one better to reflect on the work behind the scenes than Ian Bates. Ian joined us over 30 years ago as a Production Operative, packaging wire coils on the factory floor and has since worked across warehousing, logistics, procurement and operations.
Now Director of Operations, Ian’s hands-on experience continues to shape how we deliver for customers. His deep understanding of production flow, machinery, transport and warehousing has helped Hampton Steel maintain high output, rigorous quality standards and over 98% on-time, in-full performance throughout the year, which means, our customers get what they want and when they want it!
As we reach the end of another successful year, Ian reflects on the work taking place across Hampton Steel. His focus remains firmly on ensuring customers receive the products they need right up to the finish line, setting us up for a strong start in the year ahead.
