WHY SECURITY CAMERAS IN A RESTAURANT?

For a free quote: call /whatsapp 71317458 or email: [email protected]

Restaurant security cameras can help to eliminate many possible losses from the balance book of your restaurant. Many restaurants lose money through theft of money, theft of food, vandalism and even fraudulent lawsuits. A quality restaurant security camera system can help you reduce your losses significantly.

Restaurants in particular have several areas of concern when planning out a restaurant security camera system. The following areas are most important to consider for most restaurants: restaurant common customer areas, restaurant kitchen areas, restaurant cash registers and restaurant parking lots.

tandalone DVR Restaurant Security Camera Systems
For basic restaurant security camera installations, a standalone dvr security camera system is a great choice. Standalone DVRs provide the ability to record from your cameras onto a vcr-sized digital video recorder, and allow you to watch live cameras on a television on-location or even over the internet using a normal internet explorer web browser. Complete systems are available for restaurant security camera systems as well that include cameras, power supplys and the standalone dvr unit.

Outdoor Restaurant Security Cameras
Outdoor restaurant security cameras can provide you with constant video coverage of the parking lot of your restaurant. This is helpful to prevent and prosecute vandalism, as well as get more information such as vehicle type on any individuals who have perpetrated a theft of food or money inside your restaurant. Outdoor cameras should not be overlooked when planning a proper restaurant security camera system.

Indoor Dome Restaurant Security Cameras
The indoor areas of your restaurant are usually the most important for coverage with your business security camera system. These cameras provide you with a video record of everything that occurs inside your restaurant. This can help you track money as it travels from the table to the register, monitor employees, watch customers as they enter or leave the restaurant and more. These indoor restaurant security cameras will provide a great selection for even lower budget restaurant security camera installations.
________________________________________

Hidden Covert Restaurant Security Cameras
Sometimes you need to monitor sensitive areas of your restaurant without employees knowing. These covert/hidden restaurant security cameras provide great video coverage through tiny pinhole lenses. These cameras look like normal everyday items like alarm system motion detectors or building fire sprinklers.

1. Security Cameras for your Restaurant
Indoor security cameras in your restaurant can help provide evidence and recording, so that if employees break the rules, or customers skip out on their check, you will have quality video footage. Restaurant owners looking to provide this level of security should take into account the lighting level, and traffic patterns, to ensure appropriate coverage.
2. Restaurant Kitchen Security Cameras
Much of the product theft and mischief that occurs in restaurants happens in the kitchen, so what better way to monitor and maintain control of your restaurant than to watch it on security cameras. Cameras in the kitchen area can be used by managers to ensure quality control in the kitchen, monitor staff, watch the food in the freezers and more.
3. Restaurant Cash Register Security Cameras
The cash register in your restaurant holds a great deal of cash, making it a key target for would-be thieves. But it is also an area where employees might decide to skim off the top, giving them easy access to quick cash. That is why it is ultimately important for you to provide coverage of the cash registers in your restaurant when you are planning a CCTV Security camera system.
4. Restaurant Parking Lot Security Cameras
The parking lot of your restaurant can be an extremely important area to cover with your security surveillance cameras. A good CCTV system plan will include outdoor cameras to cover the walkways as well as parking areas to help customers in case accidents occur in the parking lot. These cameras can also be used to help get more distinguishing characteristics about customers who may attempt to steal from your restaurant by showing the direction they left as well as the vehicle that was being driven.

How to prevent your DVR from being stolen

In today’s world, you can’t be too careful. This article will show you how to hide your DVR in order to prevent anyone from stealing it. If your DVR is stolen, your surveillance system is pretty much useless unless you have some sort of backup. There are many different ways to conceal your DVR so that a burglar cannot do any damage to it or steal it in the case of a break in or vandalism. Usually criminals that know they’re being videotaped will try to either destroy the security cameras or destroy the device they’re being recorded on. Make sure you’re ready for it and one step ahead of them so that you can still have your evidence if any of this should occur.
DVR Lockboxes
________________________________________
One of the main solutions that most people inquire about is a DVR Lockbox. A lockbox can be any type of enclosure made for a Digital Video Recorder so that someone can’t simply take it and run off with it. It’s also useful for keeping people from being able to shut it off or access the main settings and can even keep people from deleting the footage on the recording device. You must make sure that very few trusted people have access to the keys of the DVR Lockbox so that if any changes need to be done to the device, its being done by someone you know won’t delete important evidence. Many DVRs these days can be accessed remotely so that no one actually has to touch the physical device and the trusted people or person will have a login for the DVR with restrictions on what settings they can access. The Lockbox is also great because it will protect the DVR from any vandalism. My suggestion would be to bolt it down to some beams in the wall to make it much more difficult for anyone to get to it or move it.
Hiding Your DVR
________________________________________
Some people decide that they are not going to spend the extra money to purchase a lockbox. That is not a problem so long as you have a really good spot to hide the DVR so that no one will find it. Some homes or businesses will have a secret location or compartment created by the owner where you can hide the DVR out of sight. A lot of times a burglar won’t have much time to search for a device and will want to get out of the location they are robbing as quickly as possible. Especially if you double up your surveillance system with an alarm. We have heard of many great ideas. Here is a list of a few places that may be a great hiding spot for your security camera recording device:
1. The Ceiling – this can be a drop ceiling, or even an attic. Just be aware of the temperatures because some hot temperatures have the ability of damaging the hard drive in the device.

2. In Walls – I have seen some homes which have been modified with false walls, or even a locked safe inside of a wall that can be covered by a picture frame to hide where the device it hidden.

3. Hiding your Security DVR in a Closet – Hide the DVR in an uninteresting closet. Sometimes this can mean putting it up on a high shelf in a closet with some clothing or boxes in front of it. Just make sure the wires are hidden as well that are coming into the back of the DVR.

4. Hiding your DVR in a Basement or Cellar – If you have some sort of underground storage in your building, you can make an area in a basement or cellar that would be perfect for hiding a DVR. Especially if these areas are only used for storage, there will be a lot of stuff in front of the DVR that will hide it such as old boxes.

5. Cabinets – Some companies manufacture in-wall tilt-out steel cabinets.

False or Decoy DVR
________________________________________
One of the best solutions, in my opinion, for hiding the digital video recorder from your surveillance system is to have a decoy or false DVR available to the burglar. Many people are currently upgrading from older analog systems to newer digital IP systems. In turn, you’re left with a DVR that is no longer being used and the first thought that people have is to get rid of it by selling it or giving it away. If you have an extra DVR, set it up in a place that is not hidden, with some wires fully attached. This way if someone breaks into your location, they will take that DVR thinking that they are smart and have stolen all of the evidence when in reality, you have a hidden recording device tucked away in another room or location as mentioned above that no one else has access too. They will quickly leave the location and you’ll still have your evidence to show to the police.

What is a DVR and NVR
DVR (Digital Video Recorder): An analog and/or IP based recorder is a consumer electronic device or application software that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card or other local or networked mass storage device. A digital video recorder configured for physical security applications record video signals from closed-circuit television cameras for detection and documentation purposes. Many are designed to record audio as well, whether at the camera or as a separate apparatus in an isolated area. DVRs have evolved into devices that are feature rich and provide options that exceed the simple task of recording video images that was previously done through VCRs. Any good DVR CCTV system provides a multitude of advanced functions over VCR technology including video searches by event, time, date and camera. There is also much more control over quality and frame rate allowing disk space usage to be optimized and the DVR can also be set to overwrite the oldest security footage should the disk become full. In some DVR security systems remote access to security footage using a PC, Smart Phone, or tablet can also be achieved by connecting the DVR to a LAN network that has an internet service. Some of the latest professional digital video recorders include video analytics software, to enable functionality such as ‘virtual alarm system’ or even the detection of differing objects on the scene. Security DVRs may be categorized as being either PC-based or a stand-alone unit. A PC-based DVR’s architecture is a classical personal computer with video cards designed to capture video images. A stand-alone DVR is specifically designed as a digital video recorder with its own operating system and application software contained in firmware or built in flash memory.
Hardware features of security DVRs vary between manufacturers and may include but are not necessarily limited to:
• Designed for rack mounting or desktop configurations.
• Front panel switches and indicators that allow the various features of the machine to be controlled.
• Connections to external control devices such as a mouse, keyboards, POS device, or PTZ controller.
• Controlled outputs to external video display monitors.
• Data ports for network connections consistent with the network type and utilized to control features of the recorder and to send and/or receive video signals.
• Internal optical drives or HDD’s typically for archiving video.
• Connections to external storage media.
• Alarm event inputs from external security detection devices, usually one per video input.
• Alarm event outputs from internal detection features such as motion detection or loss of video.
• Single or multiple video inputs with connector types consistent with the analogue or digital video provided such as coaxial cable, twisted pair or optical fiber cable. The most common number of inputs are 4, 8, 16 and 32. Looping video outputs for each input which duplicates the corresponding input video signal. These output signals are used by other video equipment such as matrix switchers, multiplexers, and/or an individual video monitor.
Software features
Software features vary between manufacturers and may include but are not necessarily limited to:
• Routing of input video to video monitors based on user inputs or automatically on alarms or events.
• Log filing of USERs, IP addresses, Input, time and date stamping.
• Alarm and event logging on appropriate video inputs.
• Alarm and event search.
• One or more sound recording channels. User selectable image capture rates either on an all input basis or input by input basis. The capture rate feature may be programmed to automatically adjust the capture rate on the occurrence of an external alarm or an internal event
• Selectable image resolution either on an all input basis or input by input basis. The image resolution feature may be programmed to automatically adjust the image resolution on the occurrence of an external alarm or an internal e vent.
• Compression methods determining the quality of playback. An H.264 hardware compression offers fast transfer rates over a data network with high quality video.
• Motion detection provided on an input by input basis, this feature detects motion in the total image or a user definable portion of the image and usually provides sensitivity settings. Detection causes an internal event that may be output to external equipment and/or be used to trigger changes in other internal features.
• Lack of motion detection. Provided on an input by input basis, this feature detects the movement of an object into the field of view and remaining still for a user definable time. Detection causes an internal event that may be output to external equipment and/or used to trigger changes in other internal features.
• Direction of motion detection. Provided on an input by input basis, this feature detects the direction of motion in the image that has been determined by the user as an unacceptable occurrence. Detection causes an internal event that may be output to external equipment and/or be used to trigger changes in other internal features. Such as a stationary camera being used as a trigger to tell a PTZ camera to look and focus in an area of interest based off of a preset you created.
NVR (Network Video Recorder): Unlike its predecessor, the DVR, a NVR is not limited to be in the same area as your cameras cabling to one section. The unit can be placed virtually anywhere, it simply just needs to be on the same LAN network as the IP based cameras. In terms, a network video recorder are distinct from digital video recorders as their input is assigned on a network rather than a direct connection to a video capture card. Video on a DVR is encoded and processed at the DVR, while video on an NVR is encoded and processed at the camera, then streamed to the NVR for storage or remote viewing. An NVR is a software program that records video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive, SD memory card or other mass storage device. An NVR contains no dedicated video capture hardware. However, the software is typically run on a dedicated device, usually with an embedded operating system.
NVR is used in IP video surveillance systems. Because of the nature of these units, a camera that is capable of capturing High Resolution (Mega Pixel cameras) will record and playback as that desired resolution unlike a DVR system. Hybrid DVR

6 Benefits Of Installing CCTV In Your Home

CCTV systems are common in manufacturing facilities, restaurants, shopping malls and stores. However, people are yet to realize the importance of the systems in residential places. Many people have not realized the many advantages of installing CCTV in a home. But these products are a valuable asset to your home. The following are 6 benefits of installing CCTV in your home.

The foremost significance is improved home security. Many CCTV systems work in two main ways - they record and transmit at the same time. This presents a double advantage in terms of security. First, you can actually watch what is happening in areas of your home which are monitored by the CCTV camera while it's happening. This is handy if your home is set up for monitoring by a security company that offers home safety monitoring. It's also handy if you just want to keep an eye on various things - keeping watch on your sleeping child, for example.

Benefits Of Installing CCTV In Your Home

Reduced insurance premiums are yet another benefit of CCTV for home. If you asked an insurance agent whether you really need to install a CCTV security system in your home, the answer will definitely be a resounding yes. Most insurance companies recognize the extra security resulting from installing a CCTV system. The insurer will regard your home secure and therefore lower the amounts you pay as premium. Since a CCTV system is a one time investment, it is prudent to go for it and save on insurance costs for a long time.

CCTV can also be an excellent a source of evidence .When CCTV for home installation is complete; the system records events as they happen. It is therefore possible to view a recording of everything that took place in the premises at a particular time. if a thief broke into your house when you were away, the recordings can be instrumental in netting the thief and as evidence in a trial.

Another benefit of CCTV for home is better surveillance of parts of your home which cannot be viewed easily. Mounting a CCTV camera over the front of your front door helps you see anyone who is coming to your house without any need to open the door. The camera gives you a better view than a tiny peephole. It can also be set to scan the whole place from time to time.
Another benefit is the ability to remotely monitor what is happening at your home. This is made possible by advanced CCTV systems. You can view the footage over the internet and this can give you peace of mind even if you are far from home.

The other benefit is the price. It is no longer expensive to install CCTV for home. Advances in technology have made it possible for manufacturers to produce affordable systems. Just visit a CCTV dealer and you will get a product that won't cut into much of your budget.

There are many benefits associated with installing CCTV for home. You can only discover the goodness of these systems when you install them at your home. Do not have the "it will not happen to me" mentality. Do not wait until you are robbed or vandalized to install these important components of your home security system.

Accounting/POS Software : Call/Whatsapp 71317458
The Advantages of Using Computerised Accounting Software

Let me start by saying I taught Computerised accounting at a variety of levels for over 15 years. I have also worked extensively as a business consultant for small and medium size enterprises. I am continually amazed when I come across a business either not using a computerized accounting package or using spread sheets to do their accounts. Therefore I decided to write a short article on the benefits of using a computerized accounting package. The package I use for our small to medium business are Quickbooks accounting software and Pastel Accounting. w
For a quote on any of these packages Call/Whatsapp 71317458

Small and medium sized businesses can now buy ‘off the shelf’ accounting programs at remarkably low cost. Larger businesses will often have customized programs made for their business. The accounting programs carry out functions such as invoicing, dealing with payments, paying wages and providing regular accounting reports such as trading and profit and loss accounts and balance sheets.

The introduction of computerized accounting systems provide major advantages such as speed and accuracy of operation, and, perhaps most importantly, the ability to see the real-time state of the company’s financial position. In my experience I have never seen a business that has upgraded to a computerized accounting system return to paper based accounting systems. A typical computerized accounting package will offer a number of different facilities. These include:

- On-screen input and printout of sales invoices
- Automatic updating of customer accounts in the sales ledger
- Recording of suppliers’ invoices
- Automatic updating of suppliers' accounts in the purchases ledger Recording of bank receipts
- Making payments to suppliers and for expenses
- Automatic updating of the general ledger
- Automatic adjustment of stock records
- Integration of a business database with the accounting program
- Automatic calculation of payroll and associated entries

Computerized accounting programs can provide instant reports for management, for example:

- Aged debtors’ summary – a summary of customer accounts showing overdue amounts
- Trial balance, trading and profit and loss account and balance sheet
- Stock valuation
- Sales analysis
- Budget analysis and variance analysis
- GST/VAT returns
- Payroll analysis

When using a computerized accounting system the on computer, input screens have been designed for ease of use. The main advantage is that each transaction needs only to be inputed once, unlike a manual double entry system where two or three entries are required. The computerized ledger system is fully integrated. This means that when a business transaction is inputed on the computer it is recorded in a number of different accounting records at the same time.

The main advantages of a computerized accounting system are listed below:

Speed – data entry onto the computer with its formatted screens and built-in databases of customers and supplier details and stock records can be carried out far more quickly than any manual processing.
Automatic document production – fast and accurate invoices, credit notes, purchase orders, printing statements and payroll documents are all done automatically.
Accuracy – there is less room for errors as only one accounting entry is needed for each transaction rather than two (or three) for a manual system.
Up-to-date information – the accounting records are automatically updated and so account balances (e.g. customer accounts) will always be up-to-date.
Availability of information – the data is instantly available and can be made available to different users in different locations at the same time.
Management information – reports can be produced which will help management monitor and control the business, for example the aged debtors analysis will show which customer accounts are overdue, trial balance, trading and profit and loss account and balance sheet.
GST/VAT return – the automatic creation of figures for the regular GST/VAT returns.
Legibility ¬– the onscreen and printed data should always be legible and so will avoid errors caused by poor figures.
Efficiency – better use is made of resources and time; cash flow should improve through better debt collection and inventory control.
Staff motivation – the system will require staff to be trained to use new skills, which can make them feel more motivated. Further to this with many ‘off-the-shelf’ packages like MYOB the training can be outsourced and thus making a particular staff member less critical of business operations.
Cost savings – computerized accounting programs reduce staff time doing accounts and reduce audit expenses as records are neat, up-to-date and accurate.
Reduce frustration – management can be on top of their accounts and thus reduce stress levels associated with what is not known.

In summary if you have not computerized your accounting you should seriously consider doing so.

The Benefits of Moving to a Point-of-Sale (POS) System

Buying a point-of-sale (POS) system may seem like a hassle and an unnecessary expense, but if you look closer, you’ll find clear gains.
The benefits of point-of-sale systems are:
• Accuracy: Scanning is more accurate than punching in numbers from a sticker, or expecting the cashier to remember what each item costs.
• Analysis: POS systems let you manage inventory, flag items for reorder, and analyze sales patterns.
A point-of-sale system is, at heart, a cash register — but because it’s based on a PC, it opens up a new world of data about your business.
A point-of-sale (POS) terminal can be networked to other terminals, and to a server in the back room or at another location. It can be expanded with handheld devices wirelessly linked to the main system. You can use it to can track a number of operations in useful ways and customize it as your needs change over time.
The main advantage of a computerized POS system over a cash box or a cash register is the sophisticated and detailed sales reports it provides. The software lets you analyze sales in different ways, such as by SKU (item sold), time periods, promotions, by store if you have more than one, or even by sales clerk. It will help your inventory manager buy in the right number of cartons of tissue paper with improved timing, and help your chef calculate how much cheese to order for the coming week, taking into account an upcoming holiday. It can also help reduce employee shrinkage.
But that’s only the start. Once your sales are computerized, you can plug that computer into a network, and the network into a back-office computer system that downloads results from all your registers, consolidating and monitoring the information in a variety of ways. If you bite the bullet and pay the costs, you can integrate all this into your accounting and inventory software systems.
The added and more immediate flow of detailed information about your sales will help you come up with better competitive ideas and then evaluate their effectiveness.
