The third challenge this month was to create a Disney Character in your style, using any medium. THIS challenge was definitely meant for me!
If you know me at all, you know that I'm a HUGE Disney fan!! Absolutely love the art of Disney! So to take a Disney character and change their look- definitely a challenge!
I love Goofy! So trying to imagine him as a real dog?! WHAT breed is he? I'm thinking hound mix...? What do you think?

The second challenge was to create an image of a bird using a medium other than acrylics.
I love my acrylic paints! So this definitely pushed my comfort level over the edge! This piece was completed with Staedler aquarelle pencils. Not sure if I'll go at it with a water brush...yet!

It's been a hot minute since I've posted any art!
Sometimes, life gets in the way, and it's a bit of a challenge to be creative. A dear friend of mine, Lauren Elizabeth Animal Art , posted an art challenge on her page, and nothing gets the creative juices flowing like a challenge!
The first challenge was to create an image of a cooker spaniel, close up, using a colour you avoid.
I normally stear clear of yellow and orange- not sure why. So this lil fella is what came to mind!

Itโ€™s hard to believe itโ€™s been 7 years since I first put brush to canvas to capture a petโ€™s personality. While Iโ€™ve been painting for years, officially launching ๐“๐š๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฒ ๐‡๐š๐ซ๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐ง๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’ was the start of a beautiful new chapter.

In these last two years, Iโ€™ve refined my process, invested in museum-quality archival materials, and developed specialized techniques for incorporating precious memorial remains into my work.
