Was a great 2nd race weekend in Merritt, 1st race weekend for us as our car was not ready. Saturday we got 1st in the Dash, 1st in the Heat and 2nd in the Main. Then Sunday we got 2nd in the Dash, 1st in the Heat and 1st in the main.
Thank you to everyone at the speedway and all the volunteers who make these events possible, FOUNTAIN TIRE in Merritt for sponsoring us by always being ready willing and able to change all our tires when needed for race weekends, thank you so much, my wife Kim, my daughters and Linda for always being by my side on all these events, and last but not least LORDCO AUTO PARTS. 👍
This weekend was also a sponsored weekend by DEVLIN DRYWALL CONTRACTORS and we were honoured to run our truck as the pace vehicle for the mains both days.

Are you frustrated with the thumping sounds from people walking on the floor above you? You can sound proof your ceiling, but the sound travels through the structure of your home, so you would also need to sound proof your walls as well to make a decent difference. But to be honest, the foot step sounds are the hardest sound to block unless you stop it at the source.

You need to prevent the sound from getting into your structure to begin with, and now SonoPan has a product specifically designed to go down on your subfloor before you have your floor installed, which is the BEST WAY to block the footstep sounds from your lower floor rooms. Yes, the other contractor is cheaper, but is it worth it?
This is why it is so important to screw ceilings properly, and what seperates an average job from a quality drywall job. Most people don’t understand, but it’s the little things like this that most boarders don’t pay very close attention to because they are too busy trying to get the job done fast so they can make more money. I have never seen another drywall contractor in my life double all their ceiling screws like we do, and I require all my boarders to do this.
They say to me “Why Alex, no other drywall company asks us to do this.” Lol It’s because I know what can happen, and I see things like this quite often, customers can’t figure why, so I have to explain it to them.
We specialize in Drywall Renovations and repairs, and I see all the problems in peoples drywall all the time, and all the different issues that come up over the years, and then I take steps to prevent these things on our future jobs.

At Devlin Drywall all my boarders know that we always double screw all our ceilings, and I even take it a step further by ensuring my tapers push on all the ceilings when mudding the screws to ensure none of them move, and believe me, no matter how good the boarders are, my tapers still find a few popped screws. It’s this level of care and attention which separates us from your average drywall contractor. It comes down to the fact that we truly care about our work and our customers best interest.
