Ice Storm on the Way – A Few Tree Safety Tips

With the ice storm in the forecast, we want everyone to stay as safe as possible. Ice can add a lot of weight to tree branches, which increases the chance of limbs breaking or trees coming down.

Here are a few simple things you can do to reduce the risk around your home:

• Before the storm hits, move anything that can be moved, away from the vicinity of the tree canopy to minimize the risk of damage.

• Avoid parking under trees if you can. Ice-loaded branches can snap without warning.

• Watch for hanging or cracked limbs during and after the storm. These can fall later once temperatures change.

• After the storm passes, take a look around your property. If you have downed trees, broken limbs, or storm debris/damage, our team is ready to help with safe cleanup and emergency tree work.
