Install days can go one of two ways: a total walk in the park or a high-stress puzzle where nothing quite fits the way it should.

This mantel was definitely the first, but only because of the work that happened way before we stepped foot on site. Huge credit to for the relentless attention to detail during the entire shop build. Every joint, every edge, and every critical tolerance was pre-tested so that when we brought it in, it locked into place flawlessly.
Working in a client’s home means respecting their space—which means minimizing dust, tools scattered everywhere, and hours of on-site trimming. By engineering this to be prebuilt, we completely eliminated the stress of a complicated install. On-site piece-by-piece assembly simply can’t match the dead-flush lines and clean ex*****on you get from controlled shop conditions.

The end result speaks for itself, and seeing it all integrated into the space makes all the prep work worth it.

Making the most of the tools we own means making some really fun jigs! This one my newest employee whipped up to make some round legs for a coffee table. It honestly worked out 1000 percent better than I thought it would. We can also use this repeatably for legs up to 30 inches long x 6 inch’s diamater so it isn’t a one off.
Lots of fun stuff on the go in the shop this week stay tuned! The team is nailing some of these more complex builds we got going

The largest and most epic table to date. 18 ft of solid walnut built for a custom home here in Ottawa. Held up by three uniquely designed legs for this table , it’s a stunner
There’s not always time to reflect on where you’re at but when we dropped this off, I truly had to sit back and think of ow far the business and I have come. Form working alone In a rundown shed with holes in the wall by myself at 11 pm every night to now, we are a team of 4 in a 2500 sq fr building pumping out pieces that I truly don’t think many people in the city would be able to tackle. Definitely makes you think a bit :)

Delivered was interesting with the set of no middle legs making getting through a door impossible so we did some quick surgery and it’s like nothing ever happened

One of my favourite tasks is making some pine tapered legs. The jointer cuts the pine like butter and it makes a relatively “hard” angled cut simple
Just as a note, of course in reality, blade guard is fully operational and use push paddles as needed. This is just for visual reference
