We are looking to fill the following positions:
- Laborers
- Heavy Equipment Operators
- Site Fore(wo)man
- Project Manager
- Office Assistant (Part-time)
The successful candidates will be dedicated and hard working with a passion for what they do. They will work well independently when needed, but value being part of, and contributing towards, the success and spirit of a great team.
Laborer Requirements:
· Experience installing city services (water, sewer, storm), residential septic applications, grade work, excavations, laser levels, and overall general labor work.
· Effective time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision if needed.
· Possess a positive attitude and be goal oriented.
· Experience in Civil Construction an asset.
· Heavy Equipment Operating on a beginner or greater level considered an asset.
· Valid Driver’s License
Heavy Equipment Operator Requirements:
· Min. 2 years experience operating heavy equipment (please outline type of equipment in your application).
· Must have basic understanding and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance and safety inspection.
· Experience installing city services (water, sewer, storm), residential septic applications, grade work, excavations, laser levels, etc.
· Demonstrate effective time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
· Possess a positive attitude and be goal oriented.
· Experience in Civil Construction.
· Heavy Equipment Operator trade certification considered an asset.
· Valid Driver’s License
Site Fore(wo)man requirements:
· Min. 3 years experience as site fore(wo)man or supervisor.
· Must have ability to perform routine equipment maintenance and safety inspection.
· Extensive experience with civil construction.
· Experience with municipal services (water, sewer, storm), residential septic systems, road building, grade work, excavations, pipe laying, foundation excavation, etc.
· Must be able to read blueprints.
· Demonstrate effective time management skills and the ability to oversee a crew of 3-6 members.
· Possess a positive attitude and be goal oriented.
· Valid Driver’s License.
Overall Duties and Responsibilities (Laborer, Operators, Supervisors):
· Check equipment before operating to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency components are in good working order.
· Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulation, and compliance.
· Demonstrate continuous efforts to streamline work processes and work efficiently and cooperatively with both fellow crew members and clients.
· Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation.
· Ensuring to maintain a clean site, free of work-related debris and/or obstacles.
· Various other duties as needed.
Office Assistant (Part-time):
· Experience working in a Construction Environment an Asset.
· Must demonstrate effective communication skills, written and verbal.
· Customer Service experience an asset.
· Must have experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Excellent telephone etiquette
· Experience with Calendar management and Appointment scheduling
· Data entry experience
· Understanding of Accounting Principles an asset
· Highly organized and detail oriented
Office Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist Manager with day-to-day office related activities.
· Sort and file documents and receipts.
· Some Data entry.
· Communicate effectively with Management, Site crew members, and other staff to help streamline office processes.
· Various other duties as needed.
