The Royal BC Museum's new Collections and Research Building in Colwood, BC is a 164,000 sq ft state-of-the-art mass timber facility — built to safely house the Province's collections and BC Archives for generations to come, with dedicated research labs, learning spaces, and greater public access to one of British Columbia's most significant cultural institutions.
International Timberframes supplied and installed the DLT panels for the entry and covered exterior walkways, hung from the main steel structure. It's the kind of application that shows what DLT does best — bringing warmth, texture, and character to the spaces where people first arrive and move through a building. The moments that shape a first impression.
A landmark building for BC. Proud to have been part of it.
