Before and After's are always a favourite!

This grand central staircase originally had too much of a 'jail bar' feel and the warm oak wasn't complimenting the modern feel throughout this beautiful home. Pure black paint and 10mm glass panels add a definite WOW factor tying everything together beautifully!

Part 2 of the Bonus Room Conversion: ELECTRICAL

With the goal being to create a new space, without permanently changing all the electrical, the overall plan was to:

1- Remove the Ceiling fan and cap off. Allowing for future access as well as running the lines to the new lights.

2- Add an LED light in each room - centred to the room and each other, so when the wall comes out, they still look planned and simply beautiful.

3- Add a Caseta In-Wall Smart Dimmer Switch to replace 1 hardwired switch. Caséta by Lutron

These electrical decisions helped to keep the overall cost down, while still providing all of the items on the wish list.

Bonus Room Conversion: This was a fun project that moved quickly! Start to finish was 1 week.

This family loves their home and neighbourhood, but with 3 growing kids really needed an extra bedroom.

The bonus room was a perfect location to frame in a new wall complete with insulation, drywall and all the finishing touches to match the rest of the house.

The great thing is that nothing is 'permanent'; this wall can be removed down the road, no electrical was added into the new wall. In the meantime it is strong and beautiful and creates an oasis for one lucky teen!
