Good evening fellow gardener's. This is the time to clean out the perennials and make sure the bulbs are sunk, remember the bulb is to be planted three times it's size under the soil layer, good luck fellow gardener's.

Hi everyone. Well the snow has melted greatly for the most part. Please have a look at your yards. I bet you can see some snow mold or dark slimy area's in your yard especially where the snow was piled up. this is not so much of a problem. I want you to take a rake and rake out any of these area's so the air can get at it and solve the problem, if it continues to be warming go ahead and water those area's to get things going. this advise will be good especially if it gets cold again and we get more snow, remember this is Alberta and April isn't done as we usually have a cold April.

Just a reminder, now that it is warm, you need to remember your bulbs. just cause it is warm ( for now ) we can't be sure that winter has left us. It's March, Aprils not even here yet. We could still get cold. So, please, while it's warm shovel snow onto your bulb beds to stifle the growth.

Hey, I just want to say those of you with indoor house plants. They are now waking up and require more water! You have to remember they grow year round and have a dormancy period just as the outdoors plants. Please, go check your plants, if you have them.
