HIRING: Office Manager / Book Keeper
Location: Castlegar, BC
Hours: 15 - 25 / week
Salary: $30 - $38 / hr
Power Up Electrical is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Office Manager to work in-office. This is a hybrid role that blends general office administration with essential financial responsibilities.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who is comfortable managing office logistics while also handling our full-cycle bookkeeping and payroll using QuickBooks Online.
We are WCB insured and flexible with the work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable.
• Process Bi-weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accurate calculation of hours and deductions.
• Accurate reconciliations using QuickBooks Online.
• Payroll tax filings, Workers' Compensation remittances and year-end tax forms.
• Office Administration including filing, organization, coordination and support.
Qualifications:
•3+ years of experience in office management or a similar administrative role.
◦Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online
◦Proven experience processing Payroll, including understanding tax deductions and compliance.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) or Google Workspace.
◦Strong organizational and time-management skills.
◦Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
