Well -- we have spent the last few months dealing with an insurance issue (not ours) when a pipe burst in a unit in a building we have been doing a lot of work in. After gutting the kitchen, removing the kitchen ceiling, most of the exterior wall, all the flooring throughout and replacing insulation in the ceiling cavity (5 degrees in there some days....brrrr), we were on hold while permits and approvals were being shuffled around). We are FINALLY entering into the final stretch of the 4th floor unit (where the sprinkler head actually burst during the cold snap in January). One would never believe it would take over 7 months to get these poor people home again. Delay after delay after delay by insurance companies have caused more frustration than we care to think about. The home owners have been under so much stress, but we are happy to say -- they will be moving home the end of this month.
The unit on the first floor that actually sustained the most damage is still not nearly close enough to being ready, but we have been brought back in on that project finally to get her home. I had her out picking out new flooring yesterday.
On another positive note, I actually got so tired of being told I didn't know what I was talking about, I got my mold certification (I actually did know what I was talking about all along - but hey - I shouldn't be telling an "expert" that mold grows as fast as does right and that ceilings had to be taken out further??)

Looking forward to one that we don't have to deal with insurance companies...it should never be this hard when it is people's homes and lives.
