I know you probably woke up wondering what a distribution box in a septic bed is for(if it didn’t keep you awake the night before), well fear not because here is your answer. It allows the runs of the bed to be at different heights if it needs to be installed on uneven ground. As a bonus it also stops a small amount of sediment from going into the bed. Hopefully this sets your mind at ease from the pressing question that has been do***ng you.

If your septic tank is buried below grade, it might be time to consider putting risers on it, it provides easier access for maintenance and in the long run saves a lot of labour of having to continuously dig it up and fill it back in
