4 Days until Opening Day and we wanted to acknowledge the combined off-season efforts, material supports and financial donations for the new Concrete Pad at the entrance to the Brother Rick Garage, our workshop where we store and do maintenance on our Groomers.

Prior to this year the annual preventative maintenance and re-tracking on our Pisten Bully Groomers was done on dirt in the parking lot which made the work slow, messy and ultimately weather dependent.

Thank you to Beamish Construction for cutting us a deal on Concrete, Our Ski Coach Jason Wilcox of Lakeland Custom Homes for helping to prep, form and finish our pad, and to Don Isenor of D.I.G Excavation & Landscaping for helping with site preparations and donating equipment time to clean up around the groomer garage area.

We’re a small Not-For-Profit ski area that up until a few years ago never had a heated garage to work on our machines, and now for the first time ever, we also have an outdoor working surface which will also help to keep snow, mud and ice out of our Workshop.

Brother Rick would be so proud to see how far we’ve come since he built the new Garage in 2020. Thank you to our local businesses Beamish Construction, Lakeland Homes and D.I.G. Excavations for helping us make this dream a reality!

End of the year job for 2024.

D.I.G finished off the year at the new A&W job site. Job consisted of styrofoam installed on the foundation walls and footings. Install weeper and tie into catch basins. Backfill foundation on interior an exterior and compacted. Grade the inside of each building for concrete slabs to be poured at a later date. Backfill and grade planned parking lot and bring to B grade elevation.

Plugged sewer line needed to be replaced from house to city property. Excavated to sewer line and removed old damaged line. Replaced with new sewer line. Drain stone installed around sewer line. Backfilled with new B gravel, topped off with type 2 material.

Call D.I.G today if you sewer line is damaged or plugged and needs to be replaced.

Spring is well on its way here. Leaky basement? Call D.I.G today to get your leaky basement repaired.

One of last years jobs was a leaky basement that was repaired with blueskin installed on the foundation, weeper, geo textile, and drain stone put down before being backfilled.

This big job consisted of widening of drive way, interlock stone, stairs, regrading of from yard with new topsoil and sod.
Driveway was sub excavated 2' with geo textile laid down through driveway. Type 2 used for backfill and packed with 1000 pound packer. Screeded with crusher dust, Appian 70 stone laid through out entire driveway, installed ikon block for stone stair case to access front deck and door. Front yard was re-graded with new topsoil and finished off with fresh cut sod.

Here was a big job, stump and organic removal of area for road and garage pad. Road built with geo textile fabric laid down with type 2 material for road way. Garage pad area was prepped and geo textile installed, type 2 backfill was used to level off garage pad area, compacted with 1000 pound packer. Formed, braced, prepped, installed rebar and styrofoam, ready and handed off for inspection and concrete. After second contractor was done with concrete, forms were stripped, exterior styrofoam laid out, weeper installed around perimeter and finished off with backfilling and graded around slab.

This job here had 2' sub ex done, geo textile fabric to stop migration of bad soil to good soil, type 2 backfill compacted with 1000 pound packer, screeded with crusher dust, and Appian 70 stone laid through out the driveway and car port. Finished of with polymeric sand to lock in bricks.
