🌳What a difference a day makes! 🌳

Thursdays storm took down this huge tree and left us with a mess!

Yesterday Mike and our friend and neighbour Shane spent the day cutting it all up and cleaning everything out.

It was HOT and humid 🥵, but they worked hard and got the whole thing done!

The front yard looks completely different now. It’s amazing how much more open the space feels. ❤️

Now it’s time for the fun part… off to find some beautiful oak trees to plant in its place! 🌳🍂

A little change, a lot of work, and a new beginning for the front yard! ❤️

🌱 Remember back in April when I posted about planting my garlic late?

Well... the results are in, and I'd say it was worth it! 😃🧄

I planted 80 garlic cloves and harvested 78 beautiful garlic bulbs! I couldn't be happier with the size of this year's harvest. The steady rain we received this season definitely gave them a helping hand.

One of the photos shows a garlic bulb compared to my hand ✋️—they turned out bigger than I expected!

Our livestock guardian dogs, Ricky Bobby, Ivy and Max are so much more than outdoor dogs—they're family. 💙

Every morning, before the rest of the family wakes up, I head out for an early walk, and Ricky Bobby is right there beside me. He's my guardian and faithful companion, always keeping a watchful eye on everything around us.

When the kids are outside playing, Ricky, Ivy and Max are never far away. They quietly watch over them, making sure everyone stays safe. And if someone comes up the driveway, you can bet the dogs will be the first to let us know! (Usually with plenty of barking! 😂)

They may be big, intimidating dogs to strangers, but to the people they love, they are the gentlest giants. Their loyalty, protection, and companionship are just a few of the reasons we're so grateful to have them as part of our family and our homestead.

We wouldn't have it any other way. 💙🐾

Another project checked off the list!🙂

We recently finished building our first rabbit tractor, giving our growing bunnies access to fresh grass every day while keeping them safe and secure. To make the most of the space, we divided the tractor into two sections—one side for the females and one side for the males.

The rabbits seem to be enjoying the fresh forage, and it's a great way for them to graze naturally while helping us keep the grass trimmed.

This is just the beginning! Our plan is to build a second rabbit tractor soon so we can have one dedicated tractor for the females and another for the males.

Thank god I married Mike because he can always bring my vision to life!!❤️
