Strong projects start from the ground up. 🦾💥
Before the walls go up and the finishing touches begin, there is a lot of important work happening below the surface. Our team is currently putting in the groundwork for the Whitefish First Nation 459 Family Preservation & Protection Services building in Atikameg, Alberta.
Good groundwork is more than just moving dirt, it is about precision, planning and building a solid base for everything that comes next. We are proud to be part of this project and to contribute our civil and earthwork expertise to a building that will support the Whitefish First Nation 459 Community for years to come.
Scope of work includes: Survey, fencing, site stripping & preparation, cut/fill and rough grading, detailed foundation excavation, concrete foundations, backfill & compaction, concrete piles, concrete slab on grade, rebar, v***r barrier, base & radon guard, and suspended slab/topping.

Great news for the Old Fort community! 🏗️
Work is officially underway on a permanent access road following the April landslide that destroyed the original route.

The Team: ACL Construction
Timeline: Rebuilding along the preferred original route is expected to take 6 to 8 weeks
Background: An evacuation order was issued on April 20 after access was cut off due to the slide. We created a temporary access road that allowed residents to return in late May
This new project marks the next major step in the community's full recovery. John McPherson, the CEO of ACL, said the company is “pleased to build on its emergency response work and deliver a permanent solution to the Old Fort community.”

What you’ll be doing:
🚧 Operating heavy equipment varying from dozers, graders, excavators, loaders, skid steers, rock trucks and more
🚧Site/Facilities access maintenance, road construction, reclamation/remediation, erosion & sediment control, civil & underground utilities, drainage & snow removal
🚧 Performing daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
🚧 Working alongside a skilled crew to deliver quality work safely and efficiently
🚧 Following company procedures and maintaining a safe work environment

✅ Hands-on heavy equipment experience
✅ Experience operating multiple types of equipment

A.C.L. Construction Ltd. is looking for an experienced, safety-focused Class 1 Driver to join our growing team!

If you take pride in your equipment, value professionalism, and have experience hauling aggregates and remediated contaminated materials in tandem and tridem configurations, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for someone who has:
✅ Valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence
✅ Clean Driver’s Abstract
✅ Minimum 5 years of driving experience
✅ Experience with electronic logs (E-Logs)
✅ Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safe work practices

What you’ll be doing:
🚚 Delivering aggregates and remediated contaminated materials to approved job sites and disposal facilities
🚚 Operating tandem and tridem truck configurations safely and efficiently
🚚 Loading and unloading materials while following environmental and safety requirements
🚚 Completing pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections
🚚 Maintaining accurate electronic logs and daily inspection records
