September always feels like a little reset. 🍂📚
Back to school, back to routines, and somehow we’re already heading into the final stretch of the flower season!
With so many new followers this past year, I thought it was the perfect time to reintroduce myself and the heart behind Backyard Blooms.
I’m a busy momma of two, a Registered Nurse, working full-time, and somehow this little backyard hobby has become an add-on to all the things we already do. We built our dream home on family land back in 2019, and I knew from that moment that one day, there would be beautiful gardens surrounding our home.
What started in 2022 as a simple hobby has quickly grown into something so much bigger than I imagined. We grow not only cut flowers, but also a variety of vegetables. Every seed is started indoors with love and care during those cold winter and cooler spring months.
Once the flowers are finished, we spring into holiday action. My husband joins me, and together we offer our Christmas planters and wreaths.
Our little backyard has so much to offer, and I have so many ideas and dreams for the future of Backyard Blooms.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all the love and support you’ve given us over the years. Whether you’ve been here from the beginning or just found us, welcome!

Did you know we don’t just grow beautiful flowers in our backyard, we grow delicious veggies too!
There’s nothing better than enjoying fresh, homegrown vegetables and knowing exactly where they came from.
Check out the tomatoes we have growing right now, cherry, Roma and Scotia! Can’t wait for these to ripen.

We are back from vacation and the garden has absolutely exploded with blooms!
The first of the sunflowers are ready, and they are SO beautiful! Send me a message if you’d like one for yourself or for a special occasion - $25 each.

Today is going to be a scorcher! ☀️ The blooms are going to love the heat, and I can’t wait to see everything open up.
More bouquets will be ready by the end of the week and on the farm stand Saturday morning.

Every bouquet tells a story, and this one is on its way to someone special.
I love bringing together flowers that were grown right here in my backyard garden. Watching them transform from seed to bouquet is my favourite.
This arrangement features cosmos, statice, zinnias, frosted explosion grass, snapdragons, orlaya, baby’s breath, and strawflowers, a beautiful mix of textures, movement, and summer color.
Creating bouquets like this one is the most rewarding parts of flower farming. 🌸
