Today marks the last day of our 5th full year of operation!

This job has taken us some amazing places, including the rooftop of the gorgeous Riverport Community Centre in Riverport, NS.

Since Sept. 1st 2018 we've been busy! Here's some of our proudest accomplishments:

- We started as a one person company, we now have 15 full-time and seasonal employees (and still hiring!) 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️

- Our HQ was a shed in a North End Halifax backyard for a few years, now we have a commercial property in Hammonds Plains to call home. 🏠

- We're coming up on 300 residential and commercial projects completed. These systems have produced a whopping 5.5 Giga-watt hours of energy for the Nova Scotia energy grid! 💡

- We've played an active role in shaping the future of solar in NS through our work with Solar Nova Scotia and other amazing industry partners. 🤝

- We've supported locally owned and operated businesses across the province, especially bakeries, cafes and pizza shops. 🍕

It's easy to get caught up in "what's next?" but sometimes it's nice to take a moment to reflect on the gains. We're very proud of what we've done (and where we're headed!).

We love seeing two projects next door to one another!

At Solar Ascent we know that doing great work for great clients is the best way to find more great clients! So it was just announced by EfficiencyNS that the rebate will drop as of October 31st at Midnight

Existing SolarHomes rebate (Effective from March 26th, 2019 to October 31st, 2019):
$0.85/Watt (installed DC capacity) up to 35% of eligible system costs (excluding HST) or $8,500, whichever is less

New SolarHomes rebate (Effective November 1st, 2019):
$0.60/Watt (installed DC capacity) up to 25% of eligible system costs (excluding HST) or $6,000, whichever is less

We're definitely happy with how this one turned out! A huge 14.3kW system in Cole Harbour will stabilize the energy bills for decades to come for this young family!

The rebate through Efficiency NS and financing with HRM's Solar City makes solar attainable for everyone.
