Yesterday, we were fortunate to host Honourable Rechie Valdez, Minister of Women and Gender Equality as she announced funding focused on preventing gender-based violence and supporting safer workplaces.

We are proud to partner with Interval House to deliver this training. We are also proud to be a local that provides safe, equal and inclusive job sites.

Thank you to our members, apprentices and SDF participants who attended to support this initiative. We also appreciate John-Paul Danko, Lisa Hepfner, Lee Caprio and T Albino for attending the announcement and for their continuous support of IBEW Local 105.

This year, to commemorate Black History Month we wanted to shine a spotlight on some of our valued and respected Local 105 members.

We reached out to some of our black apprentices to find out what Black History Month means to them and asked them to share their most memorable experience as a Local 105 apprentice.

Thank you to Joshua Benoit a 2nd apprentice, Jerome Mclean a 3rd year apprentice and DJ Edwards a 4th year apprentice year for sharing a bit about themselves. ⚡️⚡️⚡️
