Runing a 200amp service from one home to another on the same property.

A tree took out the overhead service line and the side of the small home on a back property off Lake Ontario. Both homes had their own overhead lines run to each home from two different locations. With the new rules Hydro then required the property owner to run the new service with both meters from the front on the house. Check out how this was accomplished.

I have been working on re wiring an old home. The owner did not want to disturb the original paster ceilings on the main floor . The second level floors are being redone. I was able to run some new wiring from the panel to the kitchen through the upstairs floor without disturbing the plaster ceiling. With a few more holes in the floor I was able to run receptacles, LED pot lights and switches for the room below as well.

Electrical vehicles are out there are you ready to make the leap. For those that have it's a great investment to also install an EVSE (Electric Vehicle Service Equipment) we like to call them car chargers. The goverment is offering great incentives on EVSE purchases and installations as well.

Are you thinking you want a hot tub? All hot tubs are required to be GFI protected. They also must have a shut off means within a certain distance from the hot tub. And as always an ESA permit is required. I have added a few pictures of a tub tub install with some info for you to better understand the process.

There are many choices when it comes to choosing wire for your hot tub. I prefer to use a teck cable because it is rugged, durable and versatile. It can be installed above ground or underground. The wires are jacketed with aluminum interlocked armour and outer pvc jacket for extra protection.
