Two books really shaping my mindset lately are “Principles” by Ray Dalio and “Smarter Faster Better” by Charles Duhigg… highly recommend both ✅ I feel they really hit home for me because parts resemble how I’ve always operated, but the books provided clarity on where things derail.
Viewing problems as “another one of those” as Ray says, really allows one to disconnect from the problem and immediately start looking for a solution, be it from our own history or from a credible source.. point is, it’s probably already happened before and someone already found a solution ✅ the extension is that then having mental models of different scenarios ready for deployment, makes decision making a system instead of a guess 👌
Both books also talk on functioning as a team, being willing to let others take full ownership of their own roles, for the good and bad, and also allowing them to influence larger decisions based on experience and credibility in that area. When everyone inside a team feels like they have ownership and their voices are heard, the team generally stands to get more efficient as a byproduct ✅💯
