What I eat in a day to stay lean, build muscle and actually fuel my body 💪🏼

I’m not eating as little as possible. I’m eating enough to support my training, prioritizing protein, and keeping my meals simple and balanced.

Because building muscle—especially in your 40s—requires FOOD. Not restriction.

Eat your protein. Lift your weights. Stay consistent. The basics work. 🤍

I I thought I was just trying to fit in a workout…

When my kids were little, exercise wasn’t perfect. I just found a way to make it work.

Now they’re older, and watching them choose movement reminds me they were watching all along. ❤️

Our kids learn more from what we do than what we tell them.

Moms — how do YOU make movement work with kids? 👇🏼

We’re really good at giving ourselves excuses.

“I’m too tired.”
“My knees hurt.”
“My back always aches.”
“I’m getting older.”
“I’ll start when I feel better.”

But here’s the thing: constantly feeling stiff, achy and uncomfortable isn’t something we should automatically accept as “normal.”

Our bodies were made to move.

And sometimes the answer isn’t less movement — it’s finding the right movement and building strength.

Walk. Stretch. Lift weights. Work on your mobility. Start small if you need to.

You don’t have to go hard. You don’t have to be perfect. But you do have to stop using every ache, busy day or low-energy moment as a reason to stop showing up for yourself.

Movement is medicine. Strength is something we build. And your future body will thank you for starting today.

What excuse have you been telling yourself lately? 👇
