Copper doesn’t last forever.

Cold weather can be tough on plumbing—especially on push-fit / SharkBite-style fittings. We recently came across one that failed after freezing, which is something we see more often than people realize.

While push-fit fittings are quick and convenient, they don’t always hold up well in freezing conditions.

💡 A few simple tips to protect your plumbing:
✔ Inspect exposed pipes (basement corners, garages, exterior walls)
✔ Insulate anything that could freeze
✔ If you have push-fit fittings, consider upgrading to soldered connections for added durability
