I'm thrilled to announce that I have a solo show coming up at the end of the month at Nanny Goat Gallery in California. Here's a little something about the show:
Secret Gardens
I often wonder what takes place in a forest, a swamp, or a field before I enter it. What stories were just unfolding? What kind of animals were hidden, and what were they doing before I broke the silence? Did I disturb a ritual, interfere with a hunt, or interrupt a moment of curiosity? These are scenes seldom revealed, a place where my imagination thrives.
Secret Gardens is a curated collection of 12 paintings, both old and new, that imagines hidden and mysterious moments in nature. It is a portal into the secret lives of wildlife, offering us a glimpse into magical scenes that would be otherwise be concealed from us. These can be playful moments, moments of wonder, curiosity, or even fear.
The paintings exist in a place where realism meets the surreal. It is a collection of works that showcases flora and fauna in a way that is enchanted, mysterious and colourful - a nature that is represented in a wide range of palettes and moods.
The show runs from July 31st to August 24th.
