Back from a fantastic week in San Diego for the Canadian Construction Association conference.
It’s a week we genuinely look forward to every year. Not just for the panels and discussions, but for what this gathering represents for our industry, one of the few moments in the year when everyone is in the same place, exchanging ideas, sharing insights and discussing where things are heading.
It’s also a chance to reconnect with clients, collaborators and friends outside the usual context and, inevitably, to make a few new ones.
San Diego certainly delivered too: perfect weather, great food and an incredible setting for the week.
A special thank you to Scott Brison for setting the tone with his opening remarks.
And to Jean Charest, whose closing talk on market conditions and today’s political landscape was both thoughtful and motivating. A reminder of the responsibility and opportunity our industry has in helping build a stronger Canada for tomorrow.

De retour d’une semaine fantastique à San Diego pour le congrès de l’Association canadienne de la construction.
C’est une semaine que nous attendons avec impatience chaque année. Pas seulement pour les tables rondes et les discussions, mais pour ce que ce rassemblement représente pour notre secteur : l’un des rares moments de l’année où tout le monde se retrouve au même endroit pour échanger des idées, partager des points de vue et discuter de l’avenir.
C’est aussi l’occasion de renouer avec des clients, des collaborateurs et des amis en dehors du contexte habituel et, inévitablement, de s’en faire de nouveaux.
San Diego a certainement été à la hauteur : un temps parfait, des repas délicieux et un lieu incroyable pour cette semaine.
Un merci tout particulier à Scott Brison pour avoir donné le ton avec son mot d’ouverture.
Et à Jean Charest, dont le discours de clôture sur les conditions du marché et le paysage politique actuel était à la fois réfléchi et motivant. Un rappel de la responsabilité et de l’opportunité qui incombent à notre secteur pour contribuer à bâtir un Canada plus fort pour demain.
