1000 square feet of natural stone patio completed! π
Our crew pulled up the existing 20 year old stones, cleaned them up (cut many back to square as there were many random out of square cuts) we battled with a wide range of varying thicknesses and damaged pieces working hard to limit as much waste as possible! A huge task but well worth the effort. In the end we only had to purchase 165 square feet of new material!! β
π° this meant massive material savings for the customer in the ballpark of $20-25,000, just by carefully reusing the bulk of the old material π₯΅ (worth it)
This project involved extensive regrading and drainage work prior to even starting the relaying process. We had to raise the front patio by 10inches to be able to lay the new patio over top of a well head that was inconveniently placed right at the base of the front steps, a first for us! But we overcame it. Stone walls and stairs removed, set aside and reused in new locations. We fixed low areas around the foundation that had been the source for leaks in the past. We also added a nice dry storage area for them under the deck! All gutter drains buried and run to the edge of the property that double as french drains to assist drainage in the low lying areas around the home. We pulled out all the tricks for this one!
