Some updates on our current renovation project!
A 1970’s home with big potential…
Full service upgrades including electrical, plumbing ,gas and septic followed by structural upgrades and changes throughout to accommodate our new floor plan and design.
With the original wall framing being 2x4 construction we have framed out all the exterior walls to 2x6 construction that will allow for increased insulation R-value and thermal efficiency.
This dream home renovation project for our customers and friends at Deighton Creek Contracting will consist of a re designed main floor with master bedroom/closet, ensuite and powder room, open floor plan living room and kitchen with large central island. New chimney to accommodate gas fireplace inserts on the main floor and lower floor basement.
The split level basement floor of the house is undergoing structural modifications to eliminate existing posts and low hanging overhead beams to maximize the open floor concept design. A bedroom, office, guest bathroom, mechanical room, and large open living room will be heated with new radiant in floor heating following basement slab removal.
Large door openings were created for new French doors with glass to add more natural light into the space along with reframed window openings generously placed throughout.
Really looking forward to seeing some more progress on this one 👍
