A decade ago, this home designed by was a timeless modern classic. When it came time for a refresh, the homeowners knew exactly who to call, the original builder, and now, the team at Daly Build.

The original Shou Sugi Ban siding had weathered in time. In its place, we introduced clean, scaled black ACM, preserving the intent of the architecture while elevating its longevity and precision.

This isn’t a redesign. It’s a measured evolution, honouring what worked, and ensuring the home remains timeless for the next decade and beyond.

A custom pivot door leads into this primary suite—an architectural moment that signals both transition and intention. Unlike traditional hinges, the pivot allows the door to float, effortlessly rotating on a central axis to create a sense of scale and movement.

Finished to match the surrounding walls, it disappears when closed and becomes sculptural when open.
