🚨 IMPORTANT NEW CARBON MONOXIDE REGULATIONS – EFFECTIVE JANUARY 2026 🚨

The Government of Ontario has updated its carbon monoxide (CO) safety laws, and homeowners will need to meet new requirements starting in 2026.

Here’s what’s changing:

✔️ Aside from installing CO alarms adjacent to each sleeping area, by January these must also be installed on every storey of the home, including storeys that do not have sleeping areas.

These updates are designed to keep families safe from carbon monoxide — a colourless, odourless gas that can be extremely dangerous without proper detection.
