Well, this was a fun one! Take a look at a flat roof project our crew just took on. When we arrived, our crew began by tearing off the old rotten boards and damaged siding. We replaced the roof with tapered insulation to ensure proper drainage, followed by a 2-ply modified bitumen roofing system that comes equipped with a 20-year warranty. Next, our crew shifted focus to the siding by replacing the old cladding with new custom steel siding, replicating the look of Board & Batton. They finished by installing a beautiful self-levelling porcelain pedestal system which you can see in the last picture.

A beautiful flat roofing system done by our team.

Our crew began by removing an old worn 4-ply tar and gravel roof system with a nasty leak.

Then came the reinstallation:
Starting with installing tapered insulation to ensure proper drainage.
This was followed by a protection board to ensure a smooth surface and to maximize adhesion.
Our crew then installed a self adhered 180 base around the roof area which helps in fire prevention.
Finally, they applied the torch welded 250 cap to create the 2-ply modified bitumen roof system that comes fully protected with a 20-year WARRANTY...

Magnum Commercial is looking for workers with experience in roofing.
Framing or general construction experience is an asset. Minimum 2-years' experience required.

Job Description:
Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
Install roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings Install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems
Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
Install sheet metal flashings

Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of roofing experience
Must have own vehicle
Must have valid working at heights certification

Roofing Labourer wanted: We are looking for a roofing labourer to join our team immediately. We offer year-round full-time work with opportunities for overtime as needed, and benefits after 3 months.

Responsibilities:
Assist with the tear off and installation of flat and metal roofs
Prepare job sites, load materials and keep work areas clean and safe
Work safely from heights, following all safety protocols and measures

Requirements:
Experience in roofing and/or construction
Valid driver's license and own transportation
Valid Working at Heights Certification, or be willing to get one
Must have own steel toe boots
Hardworking and reliable
