Blower Door Test Results 💨🏠
This carrige house build was designed to meet Step 3… and we tested at:
✅ 1.402 ACH50
✅ 50.2 Pa target pressure
✅ 266 m³ volume
So what does that actually mean?
A blower door test measures how airtight your home is. The lower the ACH (air changes per hour), the less uncontrolled air leaks in and out of the building.
Why that matters:
• Lower heating bills
• More consistent indoor temperatures
• Less drafts
• Better moisture control
• Longer building lifespan
• Higher overall build quality
At 1.4 ACH50, this home is performing well beyond a typical Step 3 target and pushing toward Step 4-level airtightness. And once we get finished drywall installed that should bring us to that 1.0 ACH50 mark! That doesn’t happen by accident — it’s attention to detail at every stage:
✔️ Sealed penetrations
✔️ Properly detailed air barrier
✔️ Tight top and bottom plates
✔️ Clean window installs
A tight house isn’t just about passing inspection — it’s about building smarter, more efficient homes that perform long term.
Performance matters. Quality shows
