SCHOOL’S OUT THIS WEEK - SLOW DOWN AND STAY ALERT

Students across Newfoundland and Labrador will be finishing the school year this week, meaning even more children will be outside riding bikes, walking, and playing in neighbourhoods throughout the day.

Children can be unpredictable and may not always see or hear approaching vehicles. A few extra seconds of caution could prevent a tragedy.

Please:
- Slow down in residential areas
- Watch for children between parked cars
- Be extra cautious near parks and playgrounds
- Put distractions away and focus on the road
