Moving 1.8 Million Yards for a Massive Dairy Farm

Dirks Enterprises is moving approximately 1.8 million cubic yards on a massive dairy development farm in southwest Kansas.

Since starting in April, the crew has already moved more than 650,000 cubic yards using Case IH tractors and K-Tec scrapers, averaging 15,000 cubic yards / day. The project also gave the team an opportunity to put the new K-Tec 1230 scraper trains to work and measure their production and performance.

When re-entering the cut, move over by half a scraper width each pass to build windrows, then line up and cut through the windrow for a fuller, more consistent load.
