Since joining ACL in 2020, Jayden has played an important role in shaping the company's continued success. Through his leadership in corporate development, he has helped strengthen our business/corporate development efforts, expand our market presence, support strategic planning, and identify new opportunities for ACL and our team.

Jayden's impact reaches well beyond corporate development. His collaborative approach, strong relationships, and commitment to the team continue to make a meaningful difference across ACL. His ability to bring people together, build strong relationships, and keep the bigger picture in focus has made a lasting impact on ACL and the direction we're headed.

The feature highlights our investment in St. Albert's Riel Business Park and the role our new headquarters will play in supporting our team, creating local jobs, and contributing to the continued development of the city's business community.

Atkinson Construction was proud to be an Ace Level Sponsor of the 2026 Canadian National Disc Golf Championship in The City of Grande Prairie!

The championship welcomed competitors from across Canada to experience some of the incredible disc golf courses Grande Prairie has to offer, while bringing players, spectators, volunteers, and community members together for a memorable weekend of competition.

Supporting events like this is about more than sport. It's an opportunity to invest in the communities where we live and work, support local organizations, and help showcase everything the Peace Region has to offer on a national stage.

Congratulations to the Grande Prairie Disc Golf Club, the organizing committee, volunteers, competitors, and everyone involved in making the championship such a success. We were proud to play a small part in bringing this national event to Grande Prairie!

Today we're recognizing Logan Kosick, Apprentice Carpenter, as he celebrates four years with Atkinson Construction.

Over the past four years, Logan has become a valued member of our field team, contributing his skills in wood framing, concrete formwork, blueprint reading, site organization, and day-to-day construction operations. His commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and keeping our job sites running efficiently is appreciated across the projects he supports.

Logan is also continuing to advance his career in the skilled trades as he works toward completing his third-year carpenter apprenticeship. We're proud to support that development and see him continue building his skills and experience with ACL.

Thank you, Logan, for four years of hard work, dedication, and commitment to the team. We appreciate everything you bring to ACL and look forward to many more milestones ahead!

One of the greatest opportunities to influence the success of a project happens before construction even begins.

Through a collaborative preconstruction process, owners, consultants, and contractors can work together to identify risks early, improve constructability, refine budgets, and make informed decisions while changes are still relatively simple and cost-effective. Once construction is underway, even minor design changes can quickly lead to increased costs, schedule impacts, and additional coordination.

At Atkinson Construction, we believe successful projects are built on a strong foundation of planning, communication, and collaboration. By investing time upfront in design reviews, coordination, constructability analysis, and cost planning, we're able to reduce uncertainty, improve project certainty, and help our clients achieve better outcomes.

The earlier a challenge is identified, the more options there are to solve it and the greater the opportunity to save both time and money.

Our field team continues to grow, and we're pleased to introduce the newest member of Atkinson Construction, Cameron Robertson, Journeyman Carpenter.

With more than 20 years of experience in commercial construction, carpentry, and carpentry education, Cameron brings a wealth of knowledge to our field team. As a Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter, his expertise spans wood framing, concrete formwork, hardware installation, blueprint reading, and finish carpentry, making him a valuable asset on projects of all sizes.

In his role, Cameron will work closely with our site supervisors and trades to help deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. His commitment to craftsmanship, collaboration, and mentorship reflects the values that define our team.

There's nothing better than a cool treat on a warm summer day!

A big thank you to the 102.3 NOW! Radio Trucksicle team for stopping by our office and brightening everyone's day with free popsicles. The Trucksicle brings complimentary frozen treats to workplaces, community groups, and events throughout the Edmonton area each summer, making it a fun way to spread a little sunshine.

It was a simple gesture that brought plenty of smiles and gave our team a chance to take a well-deserved break together.

A building's exterior is often the first impression, and investing in it can create lasting value.

Atkinson Construction was proud to partner with BCMI Inns on the exterior upgrades to the Kanata Hinton Hotel, helping refresh and modernize the property while enhancing its long term durability and performance.

The project included a comprehensive exterior renovation featuring updated cladding, architectural finishes, and building envelope improvements that gave the hotel a renewed appearance while improving resilience against Alberta's climate. Careful planning and coordination allowed the work to be completed while the hotel remained operational, minimizing disruption for guests and staff.

Projects like this demonstrate how thoughtful renovations can extend the life of existing facilities, strengthen a property's identity, and enhance the experience for everyone who visits.

We were proud to officially break ground on the future home of Atkinson Construction in St. Albert. This milestone marks an exciting new chapter as we invest in a space designed to support our growing team, strengthen collaboration, and serve as our long term headquarters within the community we proudly call home.

The new three storey office has been thoughtfully designed with both our people and the future in mind. It will provide modern workspaces that encourage collaboration and create an environment where our team can thrive. The building will feature a coworking space on the main floor, Atkinson Construction office space on the second and third floors, and rooftop amenities, creating a workplace that supports our team today while allowing room for future growth.

A heartfelt thank you to our employees, clients, consultants, trade partners, friends, and members of the community who joined us to celebrate this special occasion. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Mayor Scott Olivieri, Councillor Shelley Biermanski, everyone from the City of St. Albert, and HSEA Architecture and Planning who joined us to mark this important milestone. Your support and encouragement mean a great deal as we continue investing in the community we proudly call home.
