Over the past four years, Zak has contributed to a variety of projects across Alberta. Through hands-on experience in framing, formwork, finishing, site layout, and material handling, he has continued to develop his skills while supporting project teams in the field.

Infrastructure that supports day-to-day operations often plays one of the biggest roles behind the scenes.

The Parkland Agricultural Storage Building Replacement was developed to provide Parkland County with a modern, purpose-built facility designed to support Agricultural Services operations through improved storage capacity, operational efficiency, and long-term durability.

The project involved demolition of the existing structure followed by construction of a new pre-engineered storage facility designed to meet current safety and environmental standards. The building includes insulated wall and roof systems, dedicated climate-controlled storage areas, and specialized chemical storage equipped with integrated heating and ventilation systems to support safe day-to-day operations.

From site preparation and concrete work to mechanical, electrical, and full site servicing integration, the project was delivered with a strong focus on safety, functionality, and long-term performance.

Projects like this highlight the importance of practical infrastructure designed around the needs of the people who use it every day.

Keeping community spaces active while construction is underway takes careful planning, coordination, and collaboration.

The TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre Renovations focused on refreshing key public amenities within one of the region’s busiest recreation facilities, helping improve the overall user experience while allowing day-to-day programming to continue throughout construction. Through phased ex*****on and close coordination with facility operations, the project was completed with minimal disruption to staff and visitors.

As both the General Contractor on the renovation project and a proud sponsor of the Atkinson Construction Fitness Centre within the facility, this project held special meaning for our team. The Tri Leisure Centre continues to play an important role in supporting health, wellness, recreation, and community connection across Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and Parkland County.

Projects like this reflect the value of building spaces that communities actively use every day and the importance of investing in facilities that bring people together.
