Removed a few White Mulberries today, awkward spot but got it done! Important work to get done before they become a bigger issue.

Mulberries are often called a "w**d tree" due to their ability to pop up just about everywhere and multiply quickly paired with extremely fast young growth, and tendency to regrow once cut. The native Red Mulberry has become a rare sight. Classified as endangered in Ontario and only appearing naturally in select areas they should be allowed to thrive whenever possible.

The non-native White Mulberry however is classified as an invasive species in most of North America, including Ontario. Known as "Tree killers", they can rapidly overtake natural local growth preventing native species from prospering. Also having a tendency to weave their branches into other trees and structures, they can quickly cause damage if not taken care of. They should be removed whenever possible preferably before they are able to produce berries.

Little bit of a different job for me, but this was for a repeat customer of mine. I had previously removed some trees for them, and they had contacted me again about putting in a gravel shed pad.

Quick job, removed around 6500lb of dirt and concrete by hand then put in 3 yards of 3/4 clear gravel.

Perfectly level, and compacted. It will look great once the shed is on it!

These are some of my favourite jobs! Took me a day and a half as a one man operation, removed a total of 6 trees and all brush. One downed spruce, a bigger Manitoba maple, and a couple little guys growing into the fence. All in all it went great, and really opened up the yard! Quick job! Couple of cedars and a few mulberries in the middle of the front yard. A storm toppled some big branches off the cedars, and the mulberries were starting to take over. One of which was growing almost completely sideways! I was so focused on getting it done I sadly didn't get a good before picture. But luckily the homeowner had one from a few years ago! With all the competing trees gone, what's left should start growing more dense and begin thriving!

Just a small one after a storm. The tree was already dying, and mother nature decided the time was right! Got the call, and I was able to get it cleaned up by lunch the next day! I strive to get the fastest service possible to my clients, especially on these emergency jobs!

Another job (almost) done, this one was a doozy! All that's left are the four stumps, which will be done at the start of next week. After seeing it all cleared they asked if I could do a couple more trees for them too! Those will be much simpler. Onto the next!

Where there was once a shed, there is no longer. Quick but complicated. In the coming weeks I will be removing the trees...

Where there was once a shed, there is no longer. Quick but complicated. In the coming weeks I will be removing the trees around the shed for this fantastic family! That will be a quite complex job, as every tree has multiple telecom wires threaded through the branches. Always more to come!

Just about finished this job. 45ft spruce, just shy of 2 days of work. I still have to grind the stump out, but that is waiting on Ontario One Call. Huge improvement to the front yard, couldn't even see the house before! Just one of the many services I offer!
