Basement bachelor suite completed!

Combining the bedroom within the living area was a great design choice by the client as it really helps to establish high levels of light and continuity within the smaller space.

So much effort goes into such a project and it's so rewarding to finally have the client "move-in."

Our next t-shirt fundraiser will be supporting the Red Cross Saskatchewan Wildfire Response. Every dollar raised from t-shirt sales will go to the Red Cross, and the federal government will match all donations to the RC in the month of June!

New office and treatment rooms at Nova Physiotherapy 💪🏻🏋🏽

We started with demolishing the demising wall between two commercials bays to expand the existing gym space and treatment rooms. Next we tackled these 16 foot walls to frame in the new rooms as well as installed the doors and trim.

It’s that time of year again - Stray Fox Renovations is hosting a fundraiser and customer appreciation event!

This year, we’ve chosen to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities - Saskatchewan in support of their Miles To Go Campaign, a charity very close to our hearts. You can learn more about their campaign here: https://www.milestogosk.com/

The event this year will be a complimentary sound bath led by 8th Chakra YXE to encourage some rest and relaxation during this busy time of the year. The event will take place inside of Knox United Church in Saskatoon and will be free to attend for all Stray Fox clients and up to two of their guests. It is truly a unique opportunity to experience a sound bath inside the historic architecture of the church.

For those asking, “What on earth is a sound bath?!”, Darren from 8th Chakra YXE says this:

A sound bath is an hour long meditation while a practitioner plays a variety of mystical instruments such as crystal singing bowls, chimes, drums, shruti box, and any other sound that may be needed at that particular time. The energy and sound vibrations enter your body and put you into a state of deep relaxation.

Music studio build has finished 🎵🎧🔊

I was initially hired to build the console desk and was provided guidance from the audio engineer's acoustical assessment of the existing room. The desk was designed with a focus on placing the monitors and seating position in relation to each other in order to achieve the perfect stereo experience. We also ensured the desk was slightly oversized to provide ample working room while still keeping audio controls quick at hand.

The second stage of the build was lining the walls with bass traps. Again, the sound engineer made recommendations for the room's requirements. These bass traps include three different panel sizes to cover the walls, wall corners, and wall to ceiling corners.

Now the studio is ready for the artist to make their magic happen ✨

Where every little step gets a solid start. 🧸🧮🪀

This week we finished a new back door landing with enclosed storage for a daycare. 

This landing was crafted with care and attention to ensure longevity and code compliance. Being fully crafted out of wood avoids those wintertime woes of tongues stuck to metal!

The unique challenge of this build was constructing the new deck around the existing concrete pad. Early into the project, the existing pad was deemed beneficial because it was in good repair and it offered some water protection for the under deck storage. Unfortunately this pad had a relatively aggressive deck slope, which we had to accommodate for when constructing the railings and stairs. It's now ready to be filled with all kinds of toys and trinkets!

Breathed new life into these stairs!

This is just part of a basement remodeling which included new subflooring, vinyl plank flooring, baseboards, and these stairs, which were the biggest challenge!

New cabinets & countertop installed!

This client had some underutilized space adjacent to their existing kitchen and they wanted to improve its functionality. A combination of drawers and closed / open storage was decided upon to maximize flexibility.

The biggest challenge on this project was designing a series of cabinets which maximized storage and functionality while ensuring ample room for foot traffic in the kitchen. Ultimately, we custom fabricated the corner cabinet to accommodate for the space and had build the counter to match.
