Here we grow again!! This is our 4th space we have needed to move to as the business grows!! This one has 1000 sq.ft. more shop space for the guys and a much larger area with offices & showroom space for us gals!!
New shop warming party coming in a couple of months…..first we have some work to do to get us there!! (Can’t tag Aaron for some reason)

This is what woodwork looks like!! This is Aaron - he joined our Knotty team back in April 2023 and we have been so busy since he joined, we haven’t had time to formally introduce him. Fun fact - we love our family business, Aaron was not “family” however very soon figured out that his finance Carly and he went to school with Lora’s cousins son and grew up in St.Albert. Plus, Carly’s Mom has been Lora’s cousins assistant at her company for many years……so in a round about way - we kept it in the family!!
Aaron has been a huge asset to the Knotty team, he has taught us a lot these past few months and we have taught him how to tame a couple of squirrels lol!!

Having all of my ladies in one spot was an instant reminder of how proud I am of the team I’ve built.

These ladies are the most genuine, funny and open minded people. They are incredibly intelligent, creative and humble.

This is a family I am proud to lead, and a family I look forward to expanding.

Thank you to my entire team for showing up for me every day… including last night when I contributed one text in the group chat and got called out for being on vacation 🤪

George spent his birthday taking our newest team member, Aaron out fishing for the day! 🎣

Welcome to the team, Aaron! Fun fact: Aaron went to school with George and Lora’s nephew in a completely different city… the more they got talking, it was discovered that Aaron’s mother in law also works for Lora’s cousin!

It turns out that no matter how hard we try, we can’t stop Knotty Woodwork from truly being a family business 👏🏼

The Kindred Roots team is so excited to announce our new partnership with the on the delivery of the program coming this spring! 🌈

This 8 week initiative is designed to unify youth between the ages of 12-18 who are exploring their true identities, no matter the label! Whether you identify as straight, gay, q***r, trans, bi… there is room and safety for every person in this space. Topics around self-acceptance, vulnerability, healthy relationships and boundaries will be explored with the intention of future generations having the skills and support to thrive.

This gorgeous live edge walnut slab table was delivered today, with a special touch as our nephew Ryan made the custom welded legs.

What an honour it was for us to work with Make-a-Wish foundation on this project 💫

Here is the note that we received:
“I have a wish kiddo with a very unique situation that I am hoping you will be able to assist on! My new wish kiddo, X , was diagnosed very suddenly as a quadriplegic at 14. Due to the suddenness of this diagnosis, the family had to quickly move into a home that would be accessible for X. The new home does not have any bedrooms that X can access, and so the “bedroom” is now on the main floor, where the homes office would usually be. The home has a large opening that feeds into that room, but has no doors so X feels a constant lack of privacy! X is hoping to have some form of door put on the opening (the family is open to barn doors or doors that swing open/closed)”

As you can see, It was a large space to fill – 2 doors, both 8’ tall and 4’ wide barely covered the space - however, it gave the privacy that was so desired and necessary for any 14 year old!

We used a combination of walnut hardwood veneer & black for a super modern and clean look, despite being a “barn door”.
