****Freezing rain warning****

Freezing rain that creates a thick layer of ice surfaces can lead to various problems, including power outages, hazardous driving conditions, and damage to trees. When ice forms on a tree, it can become very heavy, weighing down the branches and potentially causing them to break off. Taking steps to care for damaged trees after an ice storm can improve their chances of survival.

Major types of damage to assess include: (1) loss of crown/branches, (2) bending of the stem, (3) split trunks, and in severe cases, (4) uprooting of the tree.

If your trees have experienced damage from an ice storm, or you would like to take preventative steps, schedule a free consultation with one of our field representatives
