IT'S GETTING BIGGER

Something we’re working on behind the scenes has us REALLY excited.

STRANGERS started as an idea for our own photography sessions.

But the response has us thinking much bigger.

We’re working toward creating a way for OTHER photographers to host their own STRANGERS sessions and connect with people in their own communities.

Imagine a network of photographers creating unexpected meetings between strangers all over the place.

Different photographers.

Different locations.

Different people.

Same idea:

Give two strangers a reason to meet.

We’re still building it, but this could become something pretty special.

THE RESPONSE

Okay… this is getting REAL. 👀

Over the past few days, we’ve seen a huge increase in people applying for STRANGERS.

People are curious. People are taking a chance. And honestly? We’re loving every second of it.

STRANGERS was created around a pretty simple idea:

What if two people who would have never met… actually met?

No swiping. No awkward messages. No carefully curated first impression.

Just two strangers, a camera, and a little bit of possibility.

And now we’re getting ready to host our FIRST STRANGERS session since officially putting the idea out into the world.

We cannot wait to see what happens.

Ashley O'Brien Photography is bringing Stranger Sessions to the Ottawa Valley and Gatineau Hills

I’m looking for adventurous, open-minded people who are interested in meeting someone new and creating a unique photography experience together. Before the session, you’ll fill out a short application so I can learn a little about you, your personality, your interests, and what you’re hoping for from the experience.

Then comes the fun part… I pair you with a stranger who matches the criteria you selected, and we create the session from there. 😉

It's more than just a photo session, too! I prepare you a fun blind date that matches your vibes! 🤩

These sessions are about connection, confidence, spontaneity, and capturing those genuine moments you simply can’t pose.

On January 15th 2026, I had the pleasure of working with my first paid photoshoot.

I have learned so much and grown to provide more amazing photos and a better experience for my clients.

I strive every day to make sure I capture the natural and unscripted moments for generations to come.

I want to thank everyone who has supported me in these past months, and I hope to be able to do more for many more years.

As of today, I have delivered 433 images to clients and their families!

Client received 36 edited images from the session only 3 days later. I love being able to capture these candid moments of unscripted love ❤️
