👋 Meet Meet Chantal Brine, Founder & CEO of EnPoint

💼 EnPoint exists to help people connect their passion to their career- we’re on a mission to support 1 million people do just that.

💚 Her advice for other women who have a start-up idea?

I think there’s still a lot of narrative in the world around the concept of “work/life balance” as “a thing”. We only have one life- period. Balance is what each of us interprets that to be for our own lives and well-being.

👋 Meet Samantha Ng, Founder of Project Jobless

💼 Project Jobless is a social movement with the mission to impact one million lives. Through Project Jobless, we want to equip individuals with the strategies that can help them to navigate in the post-pandemic world with clarity and power.

💚 Her advice for other women who have a start-up idea?

AWESOME!! GO get it, girl!!

That being said, there are also things you need to consider before diving in, you also need to be on a constant review so that your business stay competitive and relevant. Most importantly, do not let emotions get the better of you. Many of us have beautiful, great, world-changing ideas, however, it is also equally important to grounded and realistic with what the world actually needs. Most of the time, numbers do not lie. There is a difference between a hobby and profitable business.

💚 Her advice for other women who have a start-up idea?

Just go for it. If you have tenacity, grit and resourcefulness, you’ll be able to figure out what you don’t know along the way. Statistically speaking, women are more risk-averse than men, which translates to fewer women taking risk with start-ups or side projects. However, studies have also shown that women-led businesses ultimately deliver higher revenues than those founded by men, making women-owned companies better investments for financial backers. Think of all the great ideas that women are just sitting on, and haven’t executed due to fear, imposter syndrome, or any other variety of reasons. The world needs those ideas.

👗 Beeja May is an online business that buys and sells used kids and women’s clothing.

💬 Her advice for other women who have a start-up idea?

Start reaching out to and chatting with people who are doing things similar to what you hope to do. Cold calling might be tough so start with warm calls and people within your existing network.
